Distribution of School Books, Stationery to needy school children Omanthai Vavuniya. Distribution held at the premises of the Grama Niladhari Office Omanthai, Vavuniya on 14th May 2013.
Omanthai is a recent settlement for people displaced during the war and returned only after 2009. They are living in temporary houses and children find it difficult to study at home. Theses people are daily wage earners and they have no regular income and children are compelled to work to school. The children selected as beneficiaries are those who have lost either one or both parents.
