Founded by St. John Bosco, an Italian Saintly Priest, Educator of the 19th Century, we work in 128 countries. Because of his total dedication for the welfare of youth all over the world, in 1988, Holy Father Pope John Paul II declared Don Bosco as “Father and Teach of Youth.
Bosco Sevana, Uswetakeyawa, established in 1996 under the supervision of Salesians of Don Bosco, caters to the needs of the young. Its home, shelter and rehabilitation center for the street children, school droop outs, orphans, sexually abused and children at risk and the children of Tsunami Victims, irrespective of cast, creed or race.
Together with primary education, the children go through a process of transformation of spiritual and human values.
